McChord Tabbed CCS Defensive Player of the Week
ATLANTA, Ga. --- The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) announced their weekly awards on Monday afternoon, highlighting Asbury senior communications major Riley McChord as the CCS Defensive Player of the Week.
McChord, a Lexington, Ky., native, led the Eagles' defense with 61 digs over 10 sets, averaging 6.1 per set. She tallied 27 digs against Maryville and followed with 21 more versus Huntingdon while also contributing nine assists and three service aces.
Riley currently ranks second in the CCS in digs, averaging 4.85 per set, continuing to provide steady leadership in the Eagles' back row.
