SAAC Mission Statement
The mission of the Asbury University Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is to serve as a liaison between the Asbury student body, faculty, athletic department, and student-athletes. SAAC seeks to enhance the student-athlete experience by providing opportunities while fostering a positive student-athlete image as representatives of the University, the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS), the NCAA, and the NCCAA.
About the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)
The Asbury University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is comprised of two student-athletes from each sport, along with the Asbury Screaming Eagles Event President and one student representative from the Cheerleading squad. The purpose of the AU SAAC organization is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by fostering a positive student-athlete image within the Eagle teams, the Asbury campus community, and the greater surrounding communities.
The SAAC encourages open communication and discussion between coaches, administration, and student-athletes. It serves as the voice of the student-athlete on campus and provides valuable insight into how University and NCAA policies may affect them.
