About Asbury Athletic Training

The Sports Medicine Department at Asbury University is comprised of three experienced and dedicated board certified athletic trainers. The scope of the athletic training staff encompass various domains including injury recognition, treatment, rehabilitation, prevention, and education that will enable the athlete to maintain an optimal quality of life beyond the span of athletic competition. Under the direction of a team physician and in conjunction with Bluegrass Orthopaedics, the athletic training staff's primary responsibility is to serve the medical needs of Asbury student-athletes. Together, we strive to deliver quality healthcare to every athlete that we encounter.

The underlying philosophy is that the needs of the student-athletes should always be the first consideration for all members of the Sports Medicine staff. We believe that all of our student-athletes deserve to be treated as a person first and foremost and will treat them with the same respect and care that we would expect for ourselves and our families. We are loyal to our student-athletes, our staff, our coaches, our department of athletics, and our university.
