• We must focus on the greater good.
• It is an honor and privilege to compete on an intercollegiate team at AU. 

3.) Character

• “And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.” -Micah 6:8
• We need Jesus to empower and equip us to honor Him in every aspect of our life.
• In the same way you train for competition, abiding by the AU Community Standards prepares you for a lifetime of impact, service and fulfillment.

4.) Scholar

• Your primary objective at AU is to earn a college degree.
• A Christian liberal arts education equips you to enter the world as an articulate, thoughtful, and informed ambassador for Christ.

5.) Effort

• This should be a defining characteristic of all our teams.
• You’re not always going to play your best, but you can always play and prepare with great effort and determination.

6.) Champion

• We compete for the glory of Christ.
• While we seek to honor Christ in victory and defeat, our goal is to win games and championships.
