NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. -- The No. 24 Asbury University men's tennis team took care of business on Tuesday afternoon with a 9-0 sweep over non-conference opponent Grace at Top Seed Tennis Club.
AU improves to 2-1 on the season.
The Eagles swept doubles play to take a commanding 3-0 advantage, followed by a dominant performance in singles action. Asbury won all six singles matches and dropped just one set in doing so.
Joshua Turnquest won a tough 6-3, 4-6, 10-8 third-set tiebreaker to preserve the sweep for AU.
Asbury is back in play on the road at No. 15 Union on Saturday.
