HILTON HEAD, SC. --- The Asbury men's (6-4, 3-0 CCS) and women's (6-3, 3-0 CCS) opened their Spring Break Trip on Saturday in Hilton Head, South Carolina with two victories over St. Ambrose University to extend each teams win streak to four.
The men claimed a 7-0 win, while the women followed with a 5-2 victory.

The Eagles opened the afternoon by securing the doubles point with victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. The duo of Ben Moore and Andres Caceres battled to a tight 7-6 victory before closing out the tiebreak to give Asbury momentum. At No. 3 doubles, Victor Pereira Vellozo and Alejo Britos controlled the match from the start, earning a 6-2 win.
St. Ambrose picked up the lone doubles win at the No. 1 position, but the Eagles carried the 1-0 advantage into singles play.
Asbury dominated the singles lineup, winning all six matches in straight sets to seal the match victory.
At No. 1 singles, Ben Moore set the tone with a decisive 6-3, 6-1 win. Franco Patino followed with a hard-fought victory at the No. 2 position, claiming a 6-4, 7-6 win after a competitive second set.
Ignacio Ardiles continued the Eagles' momentum at No. 3 singles with a convincing 6-1, 6-0 victory, while Alejo Britos added another point with a 6-4, 6-3 result at the No. 4 spot.
Andres Caceres picked up a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 5 singles, and Jose Ignacio Murillo rounded out the sweep with a 6-2, 6-0 victory at No. 6.

The Eagles started strong by capturing the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions.
At No. 1 doubles, Katherine Nova and Alexandra Garcia earned a solid 6-3 victory. The pairing of Malory Watkins and Ariadna Zegarra followed with a dramatic 7-6 win, clinching the doubles point for Asbury.
St. Ambrose picked up the win at No. 3 doubles to close the opening session.
In singles play, Asbury continued to control the match with four straight-set victories.
Katherine Nova led the way at No. 1 singles with a dominant 6-2, 6-0 performance. Ariadna Zegarra added another point at No. 2 with a 6-4, 6-2 victory, while Alexandra Garcia followed with a 6-4, 6-2 win at the No. 3 position.
Malory Watkins secured the fourth singles point for the Eagles with a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 4.
The Fighting Bees claimed the final two singles matches at No. 5 and No. 6, but the Eagles had already secured the overall victory.

AU Tennis will take the court next in Hilton Head Island, SC on Monday, March 16th, taking on the College of Wooster at 9:30 AM.
