Sparks NCCAA and CCS Offensive Player of the Week
WILMORE, Ky. — On Tuesday afternoon, the National Christian College Athletics Association (NCCAA) and the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) announced their weekly awards, highlighting senior biology major Anna Sparks.
Sparks was named the NCCAA and CCS Offensive Player of the Week.
Sparks, a Berkeley Lake, Ga., native, powered Asbury to a 2-0 week with five goals across two victories. She recorded her first career hat trick in a 3-2 CCS win over Huntingdon before scoring twice in the second half of a 2-1 victory over Transylvania.
With six goals on the season, Sparks leads the CCS in both total goals and goals per game, averaging 1.00 goals per contest.
