Groff set the record clearing 2.80 meters in the pole vault to place sixth overall in the competition. Defending national champion in the mile, Bailey Gassmann, was unable to repeat last year's title run but still earned a solid sixth-place finish against a strong field.

STORY - QUOTE
"We had a few bright spots, especially with Matthew and Emma Groff in the Pole Vault, but there were also a few events where we had expected to place higher than we did.  The atmosphere at the NCCAA meet is always pleasant with Christian music playing and many athletes praying together both before and after their events.  We will be host for the Outdoor Championship this spring and we want to put on a quality event for everyone like Cedarville did for us."
