Gassmann and Preston Highlight Women's Track & Field CCS Weekly Honors 

ATLANTA, Ga. --- The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) announced their weekly awards on Tuesday afternoon, with Asbury women's track and field student-athletes Bailey Gassmann and Caroline Preston highlighting the Eagles on the week.

The sophomore Gassmann was honored with the Track Athlete of the Week for the fifth consecutive time this week, while graduate srudent Caroline Preston was tabbed with the Field Athlete of the Week.

Bailey Gassmann continued her outstanding season by breaking her own school record in the 800-meter run at the Centre Twilight Meet. The Churchville, Pa., native  clocked a time of 2:20.35 to finish second overall. 

Caroline Preston made history at the Centre Twilight Meet, setting a new Asbury school record in the triple jump with a mark of 10.15 meters.

The Nicholasville, Ky., native standout leap not only broke the previous record set in 2021 but also qualified her for the NCAA Division III National Championships.
