Nick Fort Named NCCAA Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week 
 
WILMORE, Ky. – Nick Fort, graduate student from Shelbyville, Ky., was named the National Christian College of Athletics Association (NCCAA) Division I Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week on Monday afternoon.

Fort, a 6'6 forward has led Asbury to a 5-0 start to the season with two key wins last week. Fort averaged 26.5 points and ten rebounds in the two wins, capping the week with a performance at Berea where he scored 28 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. He was extremely efficient with his scoring on the week going 20-28 from the field, 10-14 from the line and 3-5 from three-point range.

Fort is the reigning NCCAA Mideast Region Player of the Year where he combined 17 double-doubles on the season. He has three double-doubles so far out of Asbury's first five games. After the 28 point performance on Saturday night, Fort has now scored 994 career points in his three seasons at AU.

Asbury is off to their best start since 2014-15 with a 5-0 start and will look to continue their paly as they host Midway tonight at home. 

Stats on the week: 26.5 PPG, 10.0 RPG, 3.5 APG, 1.5 SPG, 71.4% (FG), 71.4% (FT), 60.0 (3PT)
