WILMORE, Ky. --- Asbury (12-21, 7-8 CCS) split a Senior Day doubleheader with RV Maryville (21-11, 6-6 CCS), bouncing back from a 13–1 loss in the opener to secure an 8–6 comeback victory in game two at Cecil Zweifel Field.
10 Asbury seniors were recognized in a pregame ceremony for their contributions to Asbury Athletics and TeamAU: Adam Campbell, Andrew Billington, Austin Akridge, Quinn Nobles, Bryce Hayden, Jacob Parker, Drew Dugger, Ethan Revell, Josh McNulty, and Cayden Devine.
Game One | MARYVILLE 13, ASBURY 1
Maryville struck first in the opening inning, scoring on a wild pitch before breaking the game open in the second. The Scots plated seven runs in the frame, highlighted by a grand slam from Logan Krause that pushed the lead to 8-0.
The visitors added two more runs in the third to extend the margin to 9-0 before Asbury got on the board in the fifth. CJ Hussey delivered an RBI single, scoring Edison Burke after a leadoff hit to cut the deficit to 9-1.
Maryville answered with three additional runs in the sixth to put the game out of reach and secure the run-rule shortened victory.
Edison Burke and Andrew Billington each recorded two hits to lead the Eagles at the plate, while Hussey finished with a pair of hits and the lone RBI. Cam Weaver added a double as part of Asbury's nine-hit effort.
On the mound, Cayden Devine took the loss. Baylor Hair and Wesley Stewart combined to cover the middle innings, while Drew Dugger provided 1.2 scoreless innings of relief to close the game.
Game Two | ASBURY 8, MARYVILLE 6
Asbury struck first in the opening inning as Aaron Beaman delivered a sacrifice fly to bring home Edison Burke, who finished with a game-high three runs scored.
Maryville answered in the second on a solo home run from Colin Dunworth, but the Eagles regained the lead in the third when Beaman added an RBI single to make it 2-1.
The Scots broke through in the sixth inning, plating four runs to take a 5-2 advantage. Asbury quickly responded in the bottom half, cutting the deficit to 5-3 on an RBI double from Cam Weaver.
Trailing 6-3 entering the seventh, the Eagles delivered their biggest inning of the day. Capitalizing on defensive miscues, Asbury tied the game on an RBI single from CJ Hussey before taking the lead on a sacrifice bunt by Josh McNulty. Weaver followed with his second RBI double of the game, and Ben Krza capped the rally with an RBI single to push the lead to 8-5.
On the mound, Brandon McKindley earned his first win of the season, tossing 2.1 innings of scoreless relief while allowing just two hits. Starter Devin Walker went 6.2 innings, striking out two.
Beaman led the offense with three RBIs, while Weaver added two doubles and two RBIs. Burke and Andrew Billington each recorded multi-hit performances as the Eagles continued to generate consistent offense throughout the lineup.

AU travels to MSJ to take on the Lions at 5 PM on Tuesday, April 14th in Cincinnati, Oh.
