Three Women's Basketball Student-Athletes Receive NCCAA Mideast Region Honors; Mayes Tabbed Coach of the Year
GREENVILLE, S.C.--- The National Christian College Athletics Association (NCCAA) recently announced the 2025-2026 Mideast All-Region awards for women's basketball, with Asbury earning four honors. Juniors Emily Sizemore and Ma'Kiya West were named to the All-Region First Team, while junior Camryn Poole received Second Team. Head coach Chad Mayes was also recognized as the Mideast Region Coach of the Year for the second consecutive year.
Sizemore, a London, Ky., native, led AU with 20.3 PPG (1st in CCS, 4th in NCCAA, 11th in NCAA) shooting 49% from the field. In 30.8 MPG, Sizemore averaged 5.8 RPG and recorded a total of 67 assists on the season. She also shot 83% from the free throw line (123-of-147) and tallied 16 games with 20 or more points.
West, a Louisville, Ky., native, averaged 10.8 PPG in her junior season. She recorded five double-doubles and posted a career-high 14 rebounds. West averaged 7.6 rebounds per game and totaled 182 rebounds on the season.
Poole, a Louisville, Ky., native, 8.5 points and 5.1 rebounds per game in her junior campaign. She recorded 38 steals, averaging 1.8 steals per game.
Chad Mayes in his eighth season at the helm of the Lady Eagles program, guided Asbury to its fifth consecutive NCCAA National Tournament appearance and the program's third NCCAA Mideast Region title in the last four seasons.
