Sizemore and West Recognized with CCS First-Team Honors; Hellums Named to Second-Team
ATLANTA, Ga.--- The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) recently released their 2025-26 women's basketball all-conference teams with four AU student-athletes being honored. Elementary education major Emily Sizemore and exercise science major Ma'Kiya West received First-Team recognition, while biology pre-med major Anna Hellums was named to the Second-Team. Senior psychology major Morgan Flannery was honored on the CCS All-Sportsmanship team.
Sizemore, a junior guard from London, Ky., led the Eagles in scoring this season while starting all 25 games. She averaged 20.6 points per game (1st in CCS, 6th in NCCAA, 9th in NCAA) on an efficient 49% shooting from the field (2nd in CCS), including 37% from beyond the arc (1st in CCS). A consistent presence at the free-throw line, she converted 83% of her attempts (3rd in CCS). In addition to her scoring, Sizemore averaged 5.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 2.6 steals per game (2nd in CCS). She was also named CCS Player of the Week four times this season.
West, a junior forward from Louisville, Ky., continued her strong junior campaign, averaging 10.6 points per game while playing in 21 games with 19 starts. She ranked in the top 10 in the CCS in rebounding at 6.3 boards per game and led Asbury with 112 defensive rebounds. West also ranked in the top 20 in the conference in blocked shots with 15 and knocked down 32 three-pointers, the second-most on the team.

Hellums, a freshman guard from Clarksville, Tenn., had an impressive first season with the Eagles. She averaged 8.1 points per game while playing in all 25 contests and making 19 starts. Hellums ranked in the top five in the CCS in blocked shots with 28 and connected on 29 three-pointers, shooting 35% from beyond the arc.
Flannery, a Berea, Ky., native, was named to the CCS All-Sportsmanship Team, an award that honors one player from each team in the Conference who exudes sportsmanship and honor for the game, while playing at a high level. Morgan embodies the mission of Asbury Athletics to serve, train, and compete for the glory of God.
AU finished the season as the three seed in the CCS tournament, they will play No. 6 Huntingdon on Tuesday in the Quarterfinals.
