Combs Named to NCCAA Mideast Team; Lewis Honorable Mention
GREENVILLE, SC.--- The National Christian College Athletics Association (NCCAA) recently recognized two student-athletes of the Asbury men's basketball team on the Mideast All-Region Team, awarding junior finance major Jonathan Combs Second-Team honors and junior business administration major Jordan Lewis Honorable Mention.
Combs, a Taylorsville, Ky., native, averaged 12.2 points per game and ranked ninth in the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) with 6.2 rebounds per game. He also ranked in the top-20 in the NCCAA and first in the CCS in three-point percentage, shooting 43.7% (45-of-103) fro beyond the arc. Comb led the Eagles with 45 made three-pointers and 160 total rebounds during the season.
Lewis, a Belleville, Ill., native, ranked second in the CCS in steals per game (2.2) and total steals (58). He averaged 10.9 points per game while shooting 41% from the field. Lewis recorded 10 or more points in 14 or more games this season.
