Combs and Lewis All-Conference Honors
ATLANTA, Ga.--- The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) recently released their 2025-26 men's basketball all-conference teams with three AU student-athletes being honored. Junior finance major Jonathan Combs was named to First-Team All-Conference, while junior business administration major Jordan Lewis was awarded Second-Team. Senior sport management major Aaron Thompson was recognized on the CCS All-Sportsmanship team.
Combs, a Taylorsville, Ky., native, led the Eagles in scoring this season while appearing in all 25 games. He averaged 12.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game, ranking ninth in the CCS in rebounding. Combs shot an efficient 46% from the field (8th in CCS), including a conference-best 44% from three-point range. He led the team with 44 made three-pointers and 107 defensive rebounds.
Lewis, a Belleville, Ill., native, averaged 10.8 points per game (second on the team) while shooting 40% from the field. In just 12 CCS contests, he recorded a team-leading 31 steals and finished the season with 56 total steals, ranking second in the conference. Lewis also pulled down 72 rebounds on the year, third-most on the team.
Thompson, a Simpsonville, Ky., native, was named to the CCS All-Sportsmanship Team,
an award that honors one player from each team in the Conference who exudes sportsmanship and honor for the game, while playing at a high level. Aaron embodies the mission of Asbury Athletics to serve, train, and compete for the glory of God.
AU finished the season as the four seed in the CCS tournament, they will play No. 5 LaGrange on Tuesday in the Quarterfinals.
