Ellie Heid rounded out the double-figure scorers with 11 points.
AU finished the night shooting 51.3 percent from the field and totaled 45 fast-break points and 42 points off turnovers. The Eagles also controlled the glass with a 46–28 rebounding advantage and received 53 points from the bench.

"It's always great to start the new year off with a win. Offensively we played well and shot the ball better than we have in a long time. As a team, we felt like it was not our best defensive effort from the standpoint of giving up too many layups, but the ladies are committed to getting better each and every game. Overall, I was happy with our performance."
