Bonow raced in the 50 freestyle on Wednesday morning in the prelims, finishing 20.58 and 34th overall nationally. The Crawford, TX., native was back in action on Thursday morning, becoming the first Asbury student-athlete in history to become a NCAA All-American when he placed 14th in the 100 fly. Bonow finished at a 48.35 time cementing his name into Asbury history.

"I cannot express how thankful I am to be able to represent Jesus and Asbury in a national final. The atmosphere was incredible and I left knowing I did my best for the glory of God."
Ethan Bonow | Freshman | Business Admin. | Crawford, Tx.
"It was a good way to start off the National Championship meet! We knew the 50 free was going to be a long shot to make finals so we wanted to use this prelims race to get used to the stage and the competition level and Ethan was able to accomplish that goal. We now have a clearer picture of the meet and what we need to do for the next two swims! Looking forward to what's to come!"
