Graham Duncan was named head men's and women's swimming coach at Asbury University in 2022.
In the 2024-25 men's and women's swimming seasons, Coach Duncan's third year at the helm, freshman Ethan Bonow earned the first-ever Asbury NCAA All-American honors while the women's team took second place overall in the Liberal Arts Conference Championships. Asbury tallied 18 All-Conference student-athletes in the 2025 Liberal Arts Championships.
During Coach Duncan's second year as head coach in 2023-24, AU women's swim finished with a 5-2 record and finished second at the Liberal Arts Conference Championships. He also led the men to a fourth place finish at Liberal Arts Conference Championships. AU and Coach Graham helped produce 16 swimmers to the men's and women's All-Championship team.
In Coach Duncan's first season at the helm in 2022-23 he led Asbury women's swimming to a Liberal Arts Conference Runner-Up finish. Asbury also produced ten women's swimmers to the 2023 Liberal Arts All-Championship team and eight men's swimmers, totaling 18 All-Championship Team members.
Duncan brings strong connections to Asbury swimming and a rich family history in the sport. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from AU in 2016 with a double major in Political Science and Spanish. Duncan was a member of the Asbury swimming team from 2012-2016 and was a member of Coach Alex Keyser's first recruiting class. Most recently, Duncan has served as a club coach in both Waco, Texas, and Cookeville, Tenn.

"I can't believe that God has led me back to my alma mater and I can't wait to join all the great work that has been done in Asbury athletics. I'm grateful to Mark Whitworth and the athletic staff for the opportunity and I'm looking forward to getting to know the swimmers and continuing to develop them in the pool and as leaders in the community. I can't wait to see what God has in store for the swim team this year and into the future. Go Eagles!"

Duncan was a three-time NAIA national qualifier, NAIA Scholar-Athlete and men's team captain. The Owensboro, Ky., native scored individually in the 200 Freestyle and 500 Freestyle at the 2013 NAIA National Championships in Oklahoma City. Duncan's sister, Katie, was also a member of the AU program from 2010-2014. She still holds school records in the 400 Medley Relay, 200 Freestyle Relay, 100 Backstroke and 200 Backstroke.
Duncan comes from a family of swimmers. His parents both swam at the college level, his mother at Arizona State and his father at Centre College. His mother continued to compete at the national level and qualified for the 1980 U.S. Olympic Trials. She was also the 1986 10K Open Water national champion. His father started his coaching career in the 1980's. After working with top level athletes as a member of the Mission Viejo Nadadores staff, he returned to Kentucky and coached for almost 40 years at all levels. He finished his career coaching the Apollo High School swim team in Owensboro, Ky., for 15 years.
Duncan is married to the former Mariah Humphrey, who is also a 2016 Asbury graduate.
