Bluegrass Orthopaedics Student-Athletes of the Week
WILMORE, Ky. --- Asbury men's cross country freshman adventure education and leadership major,
Jesse Gassmann, and women's cross country junior social work and adventure education and leadership double major,
Bailey Gassmann have been named the Asbury Student-Athletes of the week, presented by Bluegrass Orthopaedics Sports Medicine.
Jesse Gassmann | Men's Cross Country
Gassmann, a Churchville, Pa., native, was the top finisher for AU at the NCAA Reional, taking 96th place out of the 272 runners with a time of 26:47 for 8K (five miles). It was his fastest time ever by 19 seconds, moving him to 14th place on Asbury's all-time list.
Bailey Gassmann | Women's Cross Country
Gassmann, a Churchville, Pa., native, led the Eagles at the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Championship, running a 5K time of 19:16. She took second place out of 54 runners to earn All-American honors.
