Jackson Cole struck out six in six innings during his fourth start of the season, but the Asbury baseball (7-8) offense was not able to keep up with Grinnell (6-6) on Saturday in Memhis, Tn., slipping 2-4.

* Jackson Cole went six innings with six punchouts and three earned runs in his fourth start, moving to 2-1 on the year
* Adam Thompson came out of the bullpen for two innings of scoreless work for AU
* Kaden Dugle had two hits for Asbury and a run scored
* Quinn Nobles had a triple during the day
* Colton Perkins had a hit with a run scored
* Matthew Johnson had a base hit
* S. Richardson went 3-3 for Grinnell with a double and an RBI
* AU tied the game at 5-5 in the fifth, then Grinnell scored the next three runs to go up 4-1
* Grinnell had 13 hits compared to Asbury's five
* AU had zero errors in the game, Grinnell had one
* Asbury dropped three games in Memphis with a combined run differential of four runs

* Asbury was out-hit by Grinnell 5-13

Asbury's next game will be Tuesday in Wilmore as the Eagles host Centre College at 5 pm.
