WILMORE, Ky..--- Sophomore accounting major
Andrew Billington drove in four runs with three hits including a home run for Asbury baseball (7-9) on Tuesday night in Wilmore, Ky., but the Eagles came up short to Centre College (16-5), 11-18.
The Eagles produced 14 hits and scored five of the final six runs of the game, but Centre's 19 hits including a six-run fourth and seven-run fifth sealed the win for the Colonels.
"It was a challenging loss, but I believe we showed some bright spots offensively. We need to trust the process and keep working."

* Andrew Billington went 3-5 with four RBIs, a home run a double, two runs scored, and a walk
* Noah Brown had three hits with four runs scored, a double, a stolen base, and a walk
* Jacob Smith went 3-4 with a stolen base and hit by pitch
* Ethan Cartwright came out of the bullpen for AU with two innings of scoreless work and five strikeouts
* Quinn Nobles went 2-5 with two RBIs, two runs scored, a double and two stolen bases
* Jackson Cole went 2-5 with two RBIs
* Kaden Dugle had a hit with two runs scored, an RBI, and a walk
* Cam Weaver drove in two runs with a run scored
* A. Lohr went 3-3 for Centre with a double, RBI, and two runs scored
* Andrew Billington's two-run blast tied the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the third before Centre scored six in the fourth
* Asbury went on a 9-2 run from the fifth to the seventh, bring the scored to 11-17.
* The Eagles now have double-digit hits in five of their last eight games
* Centre had 19 hits and AU had 14
* AU committed three errors, Centre had six
* Maryville had 13 hits, including six extra-base hits and three home runs
* AU had 11 hits with one error
The Eagles will play Maranatha Baptist University on Friday afternoon in Lexington, Ky., at Lexington Legends Field.
