WILMORE, Ky. --- Asbury Athletics has announced this month's #TeamAU Alumni Feature, presented by KEMI (Kentucky Employers' Mutual Insurance), highlights a former Asbury student-athlete, Hannah McCrabb, class of 2021. Hannah was a player on the Asbury Women's Golf team from 2018-2021 and was named as All-Conference First Team. Additionally, McCrabb was selected as Asbury's Champion of Character recipient.

"We would like to extend our congratulations to Hannah for this outstanding achievement. She was an exemplary student and one of the top competitors to ever play at Asbury. We are grateful that God is using her to have an impact as a PGA professional serving others through the game of golf."

What was your major and what sport did you play?
Major: Sport Management Sport: Women's Golf

How did God use Asbury to impact your life?
God allowed my classmates and teammates at Asbury to become my friends for life. He allowed my spiritual journey to grow through the people who showed me the importance of God in my life. He also allowed me to grow as a person with my teammates and classmates. I became a new, better, stronger person at Asbury.

What is your favorite Bible verse?
"I can do all things through Him who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13

What is your current occupation?
Assistant Golf Professional at NCR Country Club in Kettering, Ohio and head girl's golf coach at Springboro High School.

What is your favorite Asbury athletics memory?

Our team trips to St. Simons Island, Ga., for a golf tournament every spring.
First, it was great getting out of the cold and playing golf in warmer weather against some of the best college competition in the country.

While in Georgia, we rented a house that was large enough for players and coaches from the men's and women's golf teams to stay together.

Most of our parents came down to watch the tournament. A couple of nights, the parents cooked dinner at our house, then we ate together as an Asbury family. These dinners allowed the players and their parents to get to know each other better off the golf course.

We had great times walking on the beach, shopping and touring the town.

I know everyone looked forward to these trips and I will cherish the memories forever.

Also, we found a local church in St. Simons where the pastor attended Asbury University. We attended services there every Sunday before our practice round and this brought both teams together in a deeper way.

Why would you encourage anyone to attend Asbury University?
I encourage you to go to Asbury for the sense of family that you will feel when you walk on campus and for the love the professors have for every student. The entire Asbury community wants students to succeed in everything we do including academics and athletics.
