WILMORE, Ky. --- Today's gameday matchup previews are below:
Asbury at the NCCAA Mideast Regional Qualifier | 9/27/22 | ALL DAY | Women's Golf
The Asbury women's golf team has completed day one of the NCCAA Regional Tournament in Corydon, In., and will complete the tournament with their final round today. The winning team of the NCCAA Regional will receive an automatic bid to the NCCAA National Championship Tournament in Palm Coast, Fl., at the end of October.
Asbury was led on day one by their senior leader,
Maddie Heineman, finishing the day at number three on the leader board in the tournament. AU will look to have a strong day two to cut down their deficit to Oakland City University, who put together a solid day one. Asbury's team consist of
Maddie Heineman,
Trinity Reis,
Gracie Turner, and Anna Huntsinger.
Asbury vs Centre | 9/27/22 | 6PM | Women's Soccer
This evening, Asbury Women's Soccer will match up against Centre College, with kickoff at 6 pm. The Eagles will host the Colonels on their home turf in Wilmore, Ky. The last time Asbury has played Centre, the Colonels took the victory 4-0. In program history AU has yet to defeat the Centre Colonels, and will be coming out fighting this evening to make history for Asbury Women's Soccer.
Both competitors are coming off of a win and will be looking to carry their momentum forward into this evening.
AU is coming off of an enormous win against Defiance College, where the Eagles had their first 2022 season shut out.
Asbury at Hanover | 9/27/22 | 7PM | Volleyball
Asbury Volleyball will be traveling to Hanover, In., this evening to play their third away game in a row. The Eagles will play against Hanover College, beginning the match at 7 pm. The two teams' last matchup was 2014, when the Eagles swept the Panthers in a match of 3-0.
Both teams will be eager to face each other, with it being 8 years since their last match up.
AU is coming off of a loss but the team is ambitious to add this game as a win to their record.
