CHARLOTTE, NC. --- The Asbury cross country teams picked up where they left off last weekend with another successful performance, this time at the Royals XC Challenge in Charlotte, NC. The women's team finished the race in fifth out of 25 teams, the men came right behind finishing in seventh out of 27 teams.
Carolina Trumpower's skill was on display once again, finishing fifth out of 19 runners. Trumpower's teammate
Ava Miller continued her strong freshman season, setting a new PR at 20:11.4. The women's team also saw
Sarah Yost,
Della Nevitt,
Elise Terpstra,
Elle Hooper,
Ella Morton,
Maddie McCall, and
Lucy Bryson all run their best time of the season.
On the men's side it was
Will Durrance following up his career best performance last weekend with a third place finish out of 223 runners. Junior,
Luke Wheatley was absolutely fantastic running a new PR by nearly 30 seconds with a time of 28:22.7.
Luke Holton also set a new PR by nearly 30 seconds with a time of 30:12.1.

The cross country teams will take a short break next week as they prepare for their final regular season meet of the season, their home Chick-fil-A Invitational at Asbury University on October 22nd.
