WILMORE, Ky. – The Asbury University swimming teams put together a strong effort on Saturday afternoon at the Luce Center Pool, as the Eagles defeated Lincoln College on Senior Day.

Before the meet began seniors Clay Bisher, Brandon Snell, Steve Garrett, Jared Ziegler, Kristen Bewley, Paige Finnigan, and Amanda Stice were recognized.

The men's team defeated the Lynx 133-46, and the women rolled to a 144-41 victory. The men's squad improves to 9-1 in dual meets and the women move to 7-3.

"We had a lot of positive swims today," said Head Coach Alex Keyser "Both squads are very worn down from the training we have been putting in, but we had a lot of mental focus and enthusiasm today. I was very excited for our seniors to be able to have their Senior Day and get team wins. We have our final regular season meet next weekend at Centre and then we turn our focus more to the ACC Championships and NAIA Nationals. I'm looking forward to seeing the success we have individually and collectively."
