TeamAU Coaching Highlights

Men

  • Coached the men to 5 Conference Championship runner-up finishes
  • Coached the 2018-2019 team to an 8th place finish at NAIA Nationals (tied for highest finish in program history)
  • Coached Alex Wu to an NAIA National Championship in the 200 Butterfly (2019), runner-up in the 100 Butterfly (2019) and runner-up in the 200 Butterfly (2020)
  • Coached 26 individual and 2 relay performances earning NAIA All-American honors
  • Coached Keith Jessee (2018) and Alex Wu (2019) to Appalachian Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Year honors
  • Named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Coach of the Year (2018 & 2020)

Women

  • Coached the women to 3 Conference Championships and 2 Conference Championship runner-up finishes
  • Coached 17 individual and 4 relay performances earning NAIA All-American honors
  • Coached Claire Goodrum (2017) and Amber Schulte (2021) to Appalachian Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Year honors
  • Named the Appalachian Swimming Conference Coach of the Year (2016) and Appalachian Athletic Conference Coach of the Year (2021)

Personal

  • Married to former teammate Lindsay (Keyes) Keyser ’11. Alex and Lindsay have two girls, Emma and Adelyn (Addy) and reside in Nicholasville.
  • Alex is an avid competitor and has qualified for and completed the Boston Marathon twice (2016 & 2019) and the Louisville Ironman (2016 & 2018).
