Eagles' Bats Power 7-3 Victory Over Lindsey Wilson

WILMORE, Ky. -- Asbury's offense came alive on Friday afternoon at Cecil Zweifel against the visiting Blue Raiders of Lindsey Wilson College.

Nine Eagle batters collected 15 hits over the course of the game. The rally was started in the bottom of the third inning when Hunter Noble (Nicholasville, Ky.) singled to left field and driving in Garret McIntire (Louisville, Ky.).

The inning continued with singles by Gustavo Landin (Guayaquil, Ecuador) and Alejandro Jivanjee (Pembroke Pines, Fla) leading to two more Asbury runs. The Eagles would rally again in the bottom of the eighth inning with a two-run single by CJ Compton (Lexington, Ky.) which sealed the win.   

Second baseman Josh Blancet (Nicholasville, Ky) had a memorable day at the plate. The senior accumulated three hits in his five plate appearances and drove in one RBI.

From the mound, the Eagles were led by two veteran arms. Senior Logan Reitter (Cincinnati, Ohio) and junior Will McDonald (Shelbyville, Ky.) shared Friday's workload accumulating 11 strikeouts while allowing just two walks. 

The Eagles will be back in action Tuesday at University of the Cumberlands. First pitch is scheduled for 4:00.
