Coach Derr is entering his third year as the head coach for the reserve squad and assistant for the varsity team.

Prior to Asbury, Derr attended Southern Wesleyan University where he played four years of varsity soccer and eventually became an Academic All-American. After college, he married his wife Jenny and moved to Wilmore, Ky. In addition to coaching, Derr attends Asbury Theological Seminary and is in the process of finishing his Master's of Divinity degree.

Originally from Indiana, Derr played one year with Westfield High School before moving to Hamilton Southeastern High School (Ind.) where he finished his final 3 years of high school soccer. He also played for a number of club teams including Noblesville United Soccer Club and FC Pride out of central Indiana.
