Asbury Swimming Programs Earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Honors; Bonow Named First-Team Scholar All-American

RICHMOND, Va. — The Asbury men's and women's swimming programs were recognized by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) as Scholar All-America Teams for their academic excellence during the Spring 2026 semester, while sophomore business administration major Ethan Bonow also earned CSCAA First-Team Scholar All-America honors for his success both in the classroom and the pool.

Under the leadership of fourth-year head coach Graham Duncan, the women's team posted a 3.71 semester GPA, while the men's team recorded a 3.58 GPA. Both programs have now earned CSCAA Scholar All-America Team recognition for eight consecutive seasons.

"I'm very proud of our teams for what they've accomplished in the classroom this past year," Duncan said. "Both semesters, each of our teams averaged above a 3.0 GPA. It was great to see their hard work rewarded, and it served as the perfect finishing touch to an outstanding spring semester for our program."

To earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Team recognition, programs must achieve a team GPA of 3.00 or higher during the semester.

Bonow was selected as a CSCAA First-Team Scholar All-American after excelling academically while also producing one of the nation's top performances in the pool. Earlier this spring, he earned NCAA First-Team All-America honors in the 100-yard butterfly at the NCAA Championships.

The CSCAA Scholar All-America individual award recognizes student-athletes who demonstrate excellence both academically and athletically.

First-Team Scholar All-America honorees must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 and compete at their respective national championship. Second-Team Scholar All-America selections must also earn a GPA of 3.50 or higher while meeting the required qualifying standards for their division, including NCAA or NAIA championship qualifying benchmarks.
