
SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. — The Asbury men's golf team opened play at The Legacy Golf Course in Springfield, Tenn. with a steady two-round performance, highlighted by a pair of 76s from Jackson Raby to lead the Eagles to a tied-fifth place overall finish and tied-13th individual placement.
The Eagles placed tied-fifth as a team out of 15 teams represented at the tournament. The squad shot +22 on the first 18 holes over day one and a +24 during round two.
Raby paced Asbury in both rounds, matching +4 (76) scores to finish the tournament at +8 for the team's best score across the 36 holes.
Brady Patterson and Grayson Head also turned in consistent performances for Asbury. Patterson posted rounds of 77 and 79 to finish the tournament at +12, while Head followed closely with rounds of 79 and 78 for a +13 total. Head's second round was highlighted by a solid 38 on the back nine.
Dawson Case recorded rounds of 78 and 82 to sit at +16 through two rounds, while Gehrig Gavin improved in the afternoon with a 79 after opening with an 82, finishing the day at +17.
