Thompson NCCAA Pitcher of the Week; Moffat CCS Player of the Week
WILMORE, Ky. --- On Monday afternoon, the National Christian College Athletics Association (NCCAA) and the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) announced their weekly awards, highlighting Asbury's Abi Thompson and Abigail Moffat. Thompson, a exercise science major, was named NCCAA Pitcher of the Week, while Moffat, a equine assisted services major, was recognized as CCS Player of the Week.
Thompson, a Hendersonville, Tenn., native, earned her first career start and did not disappoint, recording six innings of shutout softball against Sewanee. The freshman allowed just four hits while striking out four batters to secure a 8-0 victory.
Prior, to her start, Thompson came in and closed the first game of th double-header with two scoreless innings to help AU win 8-1.
Moffat, a Carrollton, Ga., native, powered the Eagles offense in a doubleheader sweep of Sewanee, delivering an explosive performance at the plate. The junior collected five hits in eight at-bats (.625), including a home run, three doubles, and a triple while driving in 10 runs and scoring three times.

Moffat posted a 1.375 slugging percentage and a .667 on-base percentage for the day while also contributing defensively with a perfect fielding percentage.
