Garland, Tx.---The Asbury men's and women's swim traveled to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) in Garland, Tx., to compete in the SCAC Championships to close their 2025-26 season.Through day one and two, sophomore business administration major Ethan Bonow set new records in the 50 freestyle, while Emme Johnson, Addie Huebert, Claire Hentrup, and Ruthie Ward claim first in the women's 200 medley relay.

Day 1 Highlights:

The biggest highlight of the night for the women was claiming first in the 200 medley relay conference title with a time of 1:49.69 (Emme Johnson, Addie Huebert, Claire Hentrup, Ruthie Ward). Additionally, AU also had a second place finish in the women's 800 freestyle relay (Mallory Taylor, Hannah Maria Jones, Claire Hentrup, Morgan Stephenson). On the men's side, in the men's 200 medley relay finishing in third place (Owen Seymour, Avery Annas, Ethan Bonow, Braden Vincent), 

Day 2 Highlights:

On the women's side, Hannah Maria Jones (4th) and Mallory Taylor (5th) led the way in the 500 freestyle, while Eva King added an eighth-place finish after swimming a lifetime best in prelims. Emme Johnson and Rachel Lynn also scored in the event. The Eagles showed depth in the 200 IM with Joy Killingsworth (7th) pacing six scorers. In the 50 freestyle, Claire Hentrup (4th) and Ruthie Ward (6th) headlined the sprint group, with Ward clocking a lifetime best in prelims. The Women's A 400 Medley Relay team of Johnson, Addie Huebert, Ward, and Taylor earned a runner-up finish to cap the night.
