
SEWANEE, Tenn. — The Asbury men's and women's swimming teams were back in action Friday night at the Fowler Athletic Center, taking on Sewanee in a head-to-head dual meet. The Eagles turned in several event wins, strong relay showings, and multiple runner-up finishes across both squads, but ultimately both teams fell to the Tigers.
The women suffered a 132-68 defeat, while the men fell short 148-56.
The women opened the meet in impressive fashion as the Asbury A 200 Medley Relay of Leah Margraf, Addie Huebert, Ruthie Ward, and Claire Hentrup claimed first place with a time of 1:55.24, while the Asbury B relay followed closely behind in third. Hannah Maria Jones continued the momentum in the pool, earning a second-place finish in the 200 Freestyle (59.88). In the 200 IM, Raegan Guilford added another podium finish for the Eagles with a second-place performance.
On the men's side, Asbury picked up multiple individual victories highlighted by Caden Eckenroth, who captured first place in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 52.82. Ethan Bonow delivered a standout performance, winning the 100 Butterfly and helping the Asbury A 200 Medley Relay earn a second-place finish. Owen Seymour also contributed with a runner-up finish in the 100 Backstroke.

- Emme Johnson - Women's 100 Backstroke, 1st place (1:04.39)
- Rachel Lynn – Women's 200 Freestyle, 6th place (1:06.14)
- Caden Eckenroth – Men's 200 Freestyle, 1st place (52.82)
- Houston Porter – Men's 200 Freestyle, 4th place (57.53)
- Raegan Guilford – Women's 200 IM, 2nd place (2:25.67)
- Ethan Bonow – Men's 100 Butterfly, 1st place (50.38)
- Owen Seymour – Men's 100 Backstroke, 2nd place (57.45)

AU is back in action on on January 17th, taking on Montevallo and Sewanee in a three-team meet starting at 11 AM in Sewanee, Tenn.
