SEWANEE, Tenn. — The Asbury men's and women's swimming teams competed Saturday afternoon, taking on Sewanee and Montevallo in a three-team meet. While AU showed strong individual and relay performances, both teams fell short.

The AU women posted several podium finishes, led by sophomore equine studies major Ruthie Ward, who took second in the 50-yard freestyle (25.82) and third in the 100-yard freestyle (57.28). The Asbury Women's A 400 freestyle relay team of Hannah Maria Jones, Morgan Stephenson, Chloe Anderson, and Mallory Taylor placed second.

Ethan Bonow led the AU men with first-place finishes in the 50-yard freestyle (21.33) and 100-yard freestyle (46.46). He also helped the Men's A 400 freestyle relay team, joined by Braden Vincent, Caden Eckenroth, and Owen Seymour, secure first place. Caden Eckenroth added a second-place finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:27.70), while Braden Vincent earned second in the 200-yard butterfly (2:04.86).
