The CCS Recognizes Four Asbury Programs as 2024-25 All-Sportsmanship Teams

ATLANTA, Ga.--- The Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) has recognized Asbury women's soccer, women's basketball, men's basketball, and baseball as recipients of CCS Team Sportsmanship Awards for the Fall 2024, Winter 2024-25, and Spring 2025 seasons.
CCS Team Sportsmanship Awards recognize the collective effort of entire teams that have exhibited outstanding sportsmanship throughout the season. This year, one team from each of the 14 league team championship sports was honored with this prestigious award.
Recipients of the Team Sportsmanship Award are selected by each school's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) representatives, comprising student-athletes who compete in the respective sports.
AU women's soccer is led by third-year head coach and 2024 CCS Women's Soccer Coach of the Year, Zach Welch. The Eagles earned a trip to the CCS Semifinals in the 2024 season, after winning at Covenant College in the Quarterfinals.
The Asbury women's basketball team was led in 2024-25 by the CCS Women's Basketball Coach of the Year, Chad Mayes. Asbury halved the CCS Regular Season Championship with Piedmont in their inaugural season in the Conference.
In his 16th season at the helm of AU men's basketball, head coach Will Shouse led the Eagles to win four of their final seven Conference matchups.
