Zegarra Tabbed CCS Tournament MVP; Nova and Kawata Earn All-Tournament Team
ATLANTA, Ga.--- Asbury women's tennis junior business administration major Ariadna Zegarra was tabbed the the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Tournament MVP, followed by freshman Katherine Nova and senior Kourtney Kawata earning All-Tournament recognition.
Zegarra, a Lima, Peru, native, was undefeated in the tournament, taking a singles and doubles win over Piedmont in the championship match. Zegarra won 6-3, 6-0 in No. 2 singles, and partnered with Martina Paillet for a 7-5 No. 1 doubles victory.
Nova took a 6-1, 6-0 No. 1 singles win in the semifinal over Huntingdon, and partnered with Malory Watkins to go 2-0 in doubles. Kawata took a strong singles win in the championship and won both doubles matches she played in with teammate Megan Moore.
