Moffat, Tinsley, and Zink Highlighted in NCCAA All-Region Honors
GREENVILLE, S.C.--- Asbury softball student-athletes Abigail Moffat, Moira Tinsley, and Emily Zink were recently named to the 2025 National Christian College Athletics Association (NCCAA) Mideast All-Region Team.
The three AU sluggers combined for 120 hits, 14 home runs, 86 RBIs, and 82 runs scored. Led by second-year head coach Ally Moore, Asbury won their most games since 2010 (22), tied the school record for total home runs (21), and also finished third in school history with a .319 team batting average and 185 total RBIs.
Moffat, a sophomore equine assisted services major from Carrollton, Ga., tied Tinsley for a team-high 42 hits, and led the Eagles with a .382 average and 39 runs scored (third in school history). The AU shortstop started all 36 games to hit for a team-high 1.175 OPS (on-base plus slugging), .664 SLG (slugging %), including five home runs, eight doubles, and four triples.
In two seasons at Asbury, Moffat has a .389 career average with 75 runs scored, 84 hits, 18 doubles, eight home runs, 40 walks, and 23 stolen bases.
Asbury exercise major and center fielder, Moira Tinsley, tallied 42 hits with a team-high six home runs and 37 RBIs in her freshman campaign. The Ogden, Utah, native finished the year with a 1.071 OPS, 25 runs scored, 10 doubles, two triples, including a .649 slugging percentage.
Sophomore right-handed first baseman and english major Emily Zink blasted three home runs with 31 RBIs and eight doubles in the 2025 season. Zink, a Mt. Sterling, Ky., native, reached 36 total hits with 18 runs scored, a .364 average, and 9.79 OPS.
