WILMORE, Ky.--- The Asbury baseball team (7-20, 1-11 CCS) secured a series win over Hiram College (10-12) on Saturday on Senior Day at Cecil Zweifel Field in Wilmore, Ky., taking game one 4-3 and slipping in the final game of the series, 15-4.
Asbury celebrated three seniors prior to the doubleheader, honoring sport management and accounting major
Mahatma Jaen, sport management major
Tanner Hinshaw, and marketing major
Cam Weaver. The group has won 73 games over the last four seasons, including a National Christian College Athletics Association (NCCAA) Mideast Region Championship.
The Eagles were led by Weaver's two-hit and two-RBI day, including his first career home run. Sophomore engineering and mathematics major
Ryan Yates went 6.2 innings with only two earned runs in game one of the day to take his second win of the season.
Graduate student
Kaden Dugle had three hits for AU in the doubleheader, including a double and the 24th home run of his Asbury career. Dugle is now tied for the Asbury school record in career homers, with 22' AU graduate, Walker Paris.

Both teams had 10 hits in game one, but the AU defense was flawless while Hiram had four errors. Dugle, Weaver, and junior
Josh McNulty each had two hits for Asbury in the game.
The matchup was tied at 0-0 until the bottom of the fourth, when an
Andrew Billington double and two more Asbury hits powered two runs, 2-0. The Eagles scored one more in each of the next two innings, going ahead 4-0.
Hiram's offense made a charge late, scoring two in the top of the seventh and one in the eight to get within one, 4-3. Sophomore
Brady Robeson came out of the bullpen for Asbury for his second save of the season to secure the win for AU.
Game Two | HIRAM 15, ASBURY 4
Hiram scored a run in each of the first two innings in the final game of the series, going ahead 2-0 early. Sophomore left-hander
Ben Propes got his fifth start of the year for AU, looking to lead Asbury to the series sweep.
AU scored a run in the third by
Andrew Billington, but the Terriers answered in the fourth with four runs to extend their lead, 6-1. Hiram scored nine more runs throughout the game and held AU to four total runs, 15-4.
Each tead had one error, while the Hiram offense out-hit Asbury 14-5 to take the final game of the series. Freshman Adam Campbel gave 1.1 innings of scoreless work for AU with a strikeout.
N. Chernitsk went 6.0 innings for Hiram with seven strikeouts to earn the win.
Asbury moves to 7-20 on the season after taking two of three to win the series.
