MACON, Ga --- Freshman biology pre-nursing major
Danielle Oldfield had a career day on Saturday afternoon, powering five hits over the doubleheader to help Asbury (14-8, 5-5 CCS) win its sixth straight and sweep Wesleyan (1-17, 0-6 CCS) 7-6 and 17-2.
Oldfield added two runs and an RBI to her totals today, including a 3-3Â second game from the plate.Â
Emily Zink and
Abigail Moffat both added four hits apiece on the day. Zink hitting her third homerun on the year and five RBI, while Moffat scored four runs and drove in two on the afternoon.
Josie Deatherage and
Kaylee Strunk took the mound again today for AU, both tossing complete games in their fifth wins of the year. Strunk went eight innings in game one to improve to 5-2 in the circle, while Deatherage pitched five innings in game two allowing just two earned and striking out three.

Daegan Flamm and Samanth Bottom RBI's in the second inning got the scoring started for AU to take a 2-0m lead into the third.
The Wolves responded with the next three runs of the game before base hits by
Moira Tinsley and
Natalie Ison in the fifth and sixth innings gave the Eagles a 6-4 advantage. Both hits were two RBI knocks, Tinsley a single scoring

Kaitlyn Wilson off a double.
Wesleyan responded with a two-run homer in the seventh to extend the game to the eighth inning.

Wesleyan made noise in the eighth off a lead-off single. After a fly out, the Wolves hit another single but the first base runner was nailed down in a run-down for the second out.
Kaylee Strunk got the last WC hitter to pop out to
Abigail Moffat at shortstop to end things at a 7-6 Asbury win.
Game Two | ASBURY 17, WESLEYAN 2
Asbury's offense started early and often in game two plating six runs in the first inning off of three hits.Â
The Eagles came back in the second inning scoring five more to tally a 11-0 advantage, powered by
Emily Zink's third home run of the season and a
Danielle Oldfield single.
Josie Deatherage,
Abigail Moffat, and
Moira Tinsley headlined the fifth inning offensively for Asbury with RBI basehits to complete the day at the plate for the Eagles leading to a 17-2 win.
Deatherage completed the game in the circle for AU in the bottom of the fifth, earning her fifth win of the year and the 18th of her Asbury career.
Asbury set season-highs in basehits (19), RBI's (12), and runs scored (17) in game two today.
"The team competed really well this week. We took an early hit in conference play this season but we've settled in and recovered well. We've fought our was back to 500 in conference play and are in the running to make the conference tournament. The girls are gaining more and more confidence as the season progresses. I'm excited to see us continue to compete at our highest potential."Â
