Gordon Receives All-American Honor from NCCAA

GREENVILLE, SC.--- The National Christian College Athletics Association (NCCAA) announced Thursday that Asbury men's soccer sport management major Jon Gordon received the honor of Second Team All-American.
Gordon, a senior defender from Richmond, Ky., started in 14 matches for Asbury and was fourth on the team at 1,282 total minutes played. The team captain scored two goals out of his seven shots on target, including a game-winner against Boyce on September 13th in his first minute subbed into the match.
"What a well-deserved honor for Jon to be recognized at the national level for his contributions this season," said Asbury men's soccer head coach Ben Andrews. "His impact on the game was obviously noticed by those close, but I'm grateful that it was also noticed by opposing coaches and the national office. I'm so proud of him!"
Gordon anchored the defensive back-line for Asbury in the 2025 season, reaching six team shut-outs while he was in the position. The Eagles finished 10th in the NCCAA in averaging only 1.35 goals allowed per match.
In the NCCAA Mideast Region Semifinal, Gordon scored the game-winning penalty kick to send Asbury to the championship round. Concluding his AU men's soccer career of consistency and impact, Gordon made 56 starts and played in 61 total games.
