Asbury's first-place finish was in front of Earlham College in second (+32) and Anderson (+34) in third, out of nine total teams. AU finished day one in third place (+17) just two strokes behind Anderson before exploding for the seven-over day two round to take the tournament championship. Jackson Raby, Garrett Sturges, and Gideon Coleman were all named to the All-Tournament Team for Asbury.

Raby shot the second-lowest round of anyone on day two, going one-under in the final round after going six-over on day one for the five-over finish (78, 71). Sturges tied for the second-lowest score on day one at two-over and shot three-over on day two for the T-2nd place finish at five-over(74, 75).

AU sophomore finance major Gideon Coleman was key as well with a T-5th place finish (+6), shooting two-over on the final day after four-over on day one (76, 74). Business admin major Cayden Lancaster four-under on the final day to finish tied for 11th overall (77, 76).

Social studies education major Dalton Gibbs tied with his Asbury teammate Matthew Durig for 15th place, after both shot three-under on day two to finish 10-over (79, 75).

The AU golf team is looking for an at-large bid to the National Christian College Athletics Association (NCCAA) National Championship in Palm Coast, Fl., on Oct. 21-23. Asbury won the National Championship in the 2021 fall season.

STORY - QUOTE
"It was a solid day as a team, and we were able to battle through the rainy weather to come out on top. It felt great to get the first win as a team since 2021-2022 and we are hoping this solidified a spot in Nationals!"
Jackson Raby | Freshman | Business Admin | Cincinnati, Oh.
