Dakota Walden scored 28 points in the NCCAA Mideast Region Championship on Saturday afternoon in Oakland City, In., but AU (16-9) fell short to Alice Lloyd College (14-15), 71-78.
Alice Lloyd led 35-34 at the break after Asbury's 19-10 run, and then outscored AU 43-37 with 52% shooting in the second half to give Asbury their first loss in eight contests.
* Dakota Walden had his second 28-point game of the season, going 7-15 from the field and 12-13 from the line with six boards and two assists
* Luke Imfeld scored his career-high at AU with 19 points on three threes, four rebounds, one assist and a steal
* Clayton Winter grabbed 14 boards with eight points and two assists
* Alice Lloyd's Jared Strickland went 9-9 from the line with 11 boards and 24 points
* Asbury climbed back from an 11-23 deficit halfway through the first to trail by only one after the first half, 34-35
* AU took a 19-10 run in the final eight minutes of the first
* Alice Lloyd outscored Asbury 43-37 in the second half, shooting 52% from the field
* AU shot their lowest shooting percentage of the season from the field at 31%
* Asbury made seven threes on the field with 12 field goals in the first half and nine in the second
* Alice Lloyd won the rebound battle 45-39
* Asbury won the turnover matchup with only eight compared to Alice Lloyd's 14
* AU had won their previous seven games before the NCCAA Mideast Championship matchup with Alice Lloyd
* Alice Lloyd earned an automatic bid to the NCCAA National Championship through the Region Championship win

* Asbury shot their lowest field goal percentage of the season at 31%
* Alice Lloyd shot 52% in the second half and won the rebound-battle with 45 to Asbury's 39
