WILMORE, Ky.--- Asbury freshman Eve-Elyse Hall dished a career-high 21 assists on Friday night in Wilmore, but Union College (10-15) took the win over Asbury volleyball (9-12) in three sets. 

Both teams were efficient offensively as Union hit a .244 percentage and AU hit .145. The Eagles committed 21 errors while Union committed 14. 

Emma Grace Gray led Asbury in kills with 12 while Megan Walden had 10. Macie Pack and McKenna Rumage each had two blocks in the match while Riley McChord led AU defensively with 13 digs. 

Hall's 21 assists were key as Asbury sophomore Lucy Kate Gray missed the matchup due to injury. Isabella Brewer also chipped in for AU with four assists. 

Gray and Walden now have 24 matches combined with double-digit kills during the 2023 season.

Set-by-Set Recap 

Set One
Asbury and Union rallied back and forth early in the match, Union going ahead 12-10. A 5-1 Asbury run brought things to all-tied at 16-16. 

Union scored the final seven points of the match after being tied 18-18 to win the first set, 25-18. 

Set Two
In another close set, Union went ahead 10-9 early. Asbury used a 6-0 swing off three Emma Grace Gray kills and a Riley McChord ace to take their first lead of the match, 16-14. 

Union responded to score 13 of the next 19 points,k taking a 25-22 win. 

Set Three
Asbury came out strong in the third set with a Sidney Haysley ace that gave them a 4-2 lead. Union answered with a 7-0 run that pushed them ahead, 11-6. 

Asbury scored three in a row late in the match to get within two at 19-21. Union's offensive attack proved too much as they scored four of the next six to win 25-21, taking the match. 

AU moves to 9-12 with the loss.
