Biography

2024 (Junior): Lucy Kate appeared in 29 matches and 102 sets in her junior season as a key piece of an AU volleyball CCS Regular Season Championship.

  • 1st in CCS at 627 assists on the year, averaging 6.15 assists per set
  • 9th in the CCS at 0.49 aces per set with a team-high 47 on the year
  • Had 16 matches with 20 or more assists, four matches with 38 or more assists, and two 40-plus assist matches
  • Had a season-high 46 assists against Earlham and 40 assists against Berea
  • Had 193 digs on the year at 1.89 digs per set

2023 (Sophomore): Lucy Kate played in 23 matches and 87 sets in her sophomore season... dished 736 assists (career-high) to finish ninth in the NCCAA in 8.46 assists per set... took her career assist total to 1,265 in two seasons... Tied McKenna Rumage with a team-high 28 service aces... finished third on the team in digs with 170, averaging 1.95 per set... tallied 10 kills... Had a season-high 53 assists on 10/3/23 against Ohio Christian, had seven 40-plus assist matches.

2022 (Freshman): Competed in 19 matches (67 sets)...recorded 529 assists with a 7.90 A/S (season-high 39 assists at Geneva College) in her freshman season.

Why I chose Asbury:

  • I chose Asbury because when I visited there, everyone was very welcoming and all the students seemed like a family.

Career Aspirations/Outreach Involvement:

  • As I am an undeclared major, I have interests in Nursing and Business. I’m praying that when I get to Asbury, the Lord will reveal to me exactly where I need to be.
