WILMORE, Ky. --- The Asbury Men's Soccer team took on the Cleary Cougars this evening in the last game of their four-game stretch at home. The Cougars traveled all the way from Howell, Michigan to compete in tonight's match. Tonight was the first time in program history that these two teams were able to compete. Both teams were coming off a previous victory and were hungry for a win. The Cougars were able to put the only goal of the game in the back of the net in the second half, resulting in a loss for AU.
The first half of the match was scoreless, but the tight competition remained high. It quickly became a shooting game as both teams went almost shot-for-shot the entire half. AU ended the first half with 8 shots, Cleary with 5, but no goals scored.
Cleary managed to break the tie in the second half, putting one away in the 66th minute, giving them a 1-0 lead. The Eagles fought on and pressed the Cougars, but were not able to put one away before time ran out.

- Collin McKibben playing a full 90, recording 7 saves for the night, setting his new personal best for saves in a season.

The Eagles hit the road next as they face off against Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Ga next Tuesday, September 20th. Kickoff will be at 6 PM.
