LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga.-- The Asbury Men's Soccer Team went on the road this evening as they traveled to Lookout Mountain, Ga. to play the Covenant Scots for a 6 PM match. A competitive 90 minutes ensued, but the Scots came out with the victory, in the end, resulting in a 3-1 loss for AU.
Covenant came out strong in the beginning and put away a goal in the first 10 minutes. AU pushed back for 34 minutes straight and were able to score a goal by sophomore,

Sydney Lee, putting the Eagles at a 1-1 tie at the end of the first half.
Covenant came out in the second half and put two more shots away to give them a 3-1 lead. The Eagles fought back, collecting 4 shots in the second half continuing to try to get back into the game. The strong Covenant defense that has only allowed 10 goals in 7 games this season wouldn't relent, holding Asbury to their one goal for the win over AU.
Asbury will look to build off their strong play from the night, including the first career goal from sophomore
Ryan Kim. The Covenant Scots were a challenging opponent but AU will look to improve off of a game like this and move forward for their Saturday road game at Defiance College.
- Ryan Kim led the board with shots and tallied his first collegiate goal.
- Collin McKibben recorded 4 saves for the night and played a full 90.
- Asbury recorded 6 shots, 5 on goal, and 1 goal for the match.
- Jon Gordon playing another full 90.
AU will be on the road again this Saturday, September 24th for a matchup against Defiance College in Defiance, Oh. Kickoff will be at 3 PM.
