Women's Lacrosse Falls Short to Mount Saint Joseph University

CINCINNATI, OH– The Asbury University women's lacrosse team came up short-handed against mount Saint Joseph 17-15 on Saturday afternoon.

Grace Tatro scored within the first minute of the game to get things started for the Eagles. MSJ answered right back. It was a back and forth fight in the first quarter, but Asbury kept the lead by one going into the second quarter. Both teams scored three goals in the second quarter, with Asbury still in the lead going into the half.

AU continued to stay ahead until the last quarter when they got into foul trouble and had to play down a man. This gave MSJ an advantage, and scored two goals to get the ahead. However, AU was not done fighting and would achieve three goals in the last quarter, but it wasn't enough to take back the lead and secure the win.

With the loss, Asbury falls to 1-10 on the season. Asbury will travel to Anderson on Saturday for their next contest at 7 PM.
