
PIPPA PASSES, Ky. --- After Asbury's offense dominated day one of this series, AU and Alice Lloyd met up again on Monday for a doubleheader. AU put together one of their most impressive days of the season, scoring 37 total runs to defeat Alice Lloyd 13-1 and 24-0. Â
This incredible series for Asbury set multiple weekend series offensive records. In the three-game series, Asbury recorded 58 runs, 57 hits, 22 extra-base hits and 8 home runs (all records).
Game 1
Alec Lush got the ball for AU and put together one of his most efficient starts of the year. Lush threw only 62 pitches in 5.0 innings, struck out 6, allowed only 2 hits, and recorded his fifth win of the season. Cam Crick and Nate McClellan came out of the bullpen to each provide one inning, allowing only 1 run.
AU jumped out early in the first inning off a two-out 2 RBI double from Ethan Cartwright to score Walker Paris and Kaiden Zacharias. Asbury extended their lead in the third to score 5 runs on 5 hits in the inning, moving the lead to 7-0. The inning was powered by a 3-run blast from Colton Perkins, his first of his career at AU.Â
Asbury added on in late innings for 2 in the fifth and 4 more in the sixth. AU finished the game with a convincing victory over Alice Lloyd, 13-1.Â
Game 2
The junior right-handed pitcher, Jackson Cole, took the mound in game three and settled in very early. Cole pitched only three innings, striking out 2 and allowing no hits or runs. Eli Wilder and Connor Butler relieved an inning each to finish the game, keeping the shutout in tact for AU.Â
Out of this incredible three-game set for AU, game three was the most impressive. The Eagles scored 13 runs in the very first inning off 8 hits (3 doubles, a triple and a home run extra-base hits and 1 home run).Â
Asbury then scored 2 in the second off an 2 RBI double from Kaiden Zacharias. The Eagles did not led off the gas, grabbing 9 more runs in the third inning to take a 24-0 win over Alice Lloyd.Â
This powerful weekend sweep from Asbury moves them to 18-10 on the season, as they look to be hitting their stride coming down the stretch of this season.Â

Game 1
* Alec Lush pitched 5.0 innings, allowing only 2 hits and struck out 6
* Noah Brown was 4-4 with a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base
* Walker Paris was 3-4 with a double, a triple and 3 runs scored
* Kaiden Zacharias and Ethan Cartwright each had 2 hits (Ethan Cartwright with 2 doubles)
Game 2
* Ethan Cartwright was 3 for 3 with 7 RBIs and 2 home runs (3 home runs for the series and 11 RBIs)
* Jackson Cole pitched 3.0 innings allowing no hits and struck out 2. Cole also went 2-4 at the plate with a double
* Walker Paris and Cam Weaver each had 2 hits (Paris with a triple and 2 RBIs, Weaver with a double and 3 RBIs)

Game 1
* The AU offense scored 13 runs on 16 hits
* The AU defense was flawless with no errors, allowing Alice Lloyd only 1 run
Game 2
* The Asbury offense scored a season-high 24 runs on 17 hits
* The Asbury pitching staff allowed only 1 hit, and shut out Alice LloydÂ
*Â Asbury's defense held strong again committing no errors, not committing a single error the entire series
