Wilmore, KY. — After the Eagles original home opener game was canceled due to rain, the Asbury University women's lacrosse team finally had their home opener to the 2022 season on Friday afternoon.

The Eagles started the first quarter strong, collecting four goals, putting them up 4-2. In the second quarter, North Central made their comeback and then some, going on a run that resulted in a score of 11-4 at the half. Asbury fought back in the third quarter with two goals, and North Central continued to answer aggressively, leading the game into the fourth 17-6. The Eagles put up two more goals, and North Central was held to one more goal ending the game at 18-8.

Top Performers:

* Grace Tatro scored three of the Eagle's goals, one in the second quarter and two in the fourth.

* Molly Jane Ader scored the game's first two goals, helping establish Asbury's intentions early.

* Hannah Biegert and Aleah Logan scored a goal to help the Eagles. Logan scored in the first quarter and Biegert in the third quarter.
