WILMORE, Ky -- The Asbury University women's basketball team won its fifth straight game as the Eagles were victorious over Welch College 71-58 on Thursday evening.
Top Performers:
* Trinity Shearer led the Eagles in scoring with 17 points on 7-11 shooting. Shearer was also 3-6 from three-point territory, a team-high for the day.
* Sarah Dennison scored 10 points and dished out an assist.
* Jaclynn Ruble dished out a team high five assist.
* The Eagles knocked down nine threes in the victory and were efficient yet again at the foul line shooting 6-12 as a team. Dennison led the Eagles with a 5-6 effort on free throws.
Key Stats:
* AU posted 36 points in the paint and scored 26 points from the bench.
* Asbury's defense and full-court pressure forced 24 turnovers on the evening, leading to 26 points scored off turnovers.
* The Eagles had 48 rebounds compared to the Flames' 46.

The Eagles were victorious 71-58 over Welch College to improve to 15-4 on the year.
